3 Acceptance Rules
3.1 Inspection and acceptance
3.1.1 The inspection and acceptance of steel wire shall be carried out by the supplier's quality supervision department.
3.1.2 The supplier must guarantee that delivered steel wires meet the provisions of the related product standards and the contract. The demander is entitled to conduct acceptance according to the provisions of the related product standards and the contract.
3.2 Batching rules
Steel wires shall be subjected to acceptance by batches. Each batch of steel wires shall be composed of the steel wires with the same designation, furnace No. (or manufacturing batch No.), shape, dimension and delivery state.
3.3 Sampling quantity
3.3.1 The sampling quantity of steel wire shall meet the provisions of the related product standards.
3.3.2 If sampling quantity is not specified in product standards, the following requirements shall be observed:
Steel wire shall be subjected to shape, dimension and surface inspection by coils.
5% of accepted steel wires are taken and at least three coils of steel wires are subjected to mechanical performance test and other tests.
3.4 Reinspection and judgement rules
In the inspection, if one inspection result fails to meet the provisions of product standards or the contract, this coil of steel wire shall not be delivered. Double number of specimens shall be taken from untested steel wire coil in this batch to be reinspected for this rejected item (including any index required by this test); even if only one reinspection result is unaccepted, this batch of steel wire shall not be delivered by wholesale, but this batch of products can be inspected coil by coil and the accepted products can be delivered. The supplier is able to classify and process the steel wire rejected in reinspection (including heat treatment) and then resubmit them for acceptance.
