JB/T 5389 Rolling Bearings - Roller Bearings for Rolling Mills has two parts:
——Part 1: Four-row Cylindrical Roller Bearings;
——Part 2: Double-row and Four-row Tapered Roller Bearings.
This part is Part 2 of JB/T 5389.
This part is developed in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This part replaces JB/T 5389.2-2005 Rolling Bearings - Double-row and Four-row Tapered Roller Bearings for Rolling Mills.
In addition to editorial changes, the following main technical changes have been made with respect to JB/T 5389.2-2005:
——the name of the standard (see the cover and front page of this edition as well as those of 2005 edition) is modified;
——the code and successive sequence and content of main structural types are adjusted, (see Chapters 4 and 5; Chapters 4 and 5 of 2005 edition);
——the structural types and boundary dimensions of Type 370000 and Type 370000D bearings are added (see Figures 2 and 3 and Table 1);
——the technical requirements for surface roughness and appearance quality are added (see Chapter 7);
——the inspection for rotating flexibility and appearance quality is added (see Chapter 8);
——the content of rustproof packaging is specified in a separate chapter (see Chapter 11; 9.2 of 2005 edition).

1 Scope
This part of JB/T 5389 specifies the main identification codes, structural types, boundary dimensions, technical specifications, inspection methods, inspection rules and marking and rustproof packaging of double-row tapered roller bearings for rolling mills (hereinafter referred to as the “double-row bearing”) and the four-row tapered roller bearings for rolling mills (hereinafter referred to as the “four-row bearing”).
This part is applicable to the production, inspection and acceptance of double-row and four-row tapered roller bearings for rolling mills.

6.1 The boundary dimension of double-row tapered roller bearing of Type 350000 shall be in accordance with those specified in GB/T 299-2008.
6.2 The boundary dimensions of double-row tapered roller bearings of Type 370000 and Type 370000D are detailed in Table 1.
6.3 The boundary dimension of four-row tapered roller bearing of Type 380000 shall be in accordance with those specified in GB/T 300-2008.
