This standard specifies requirements for valve inspection and pressure testing.
This standard is applicable to inspection and pressure testing for gate valve, stop valve, plug valve, ball valve, check valve and butterfly valve of the metal seal pair, elastic seal pair and non-metal seal pair (for example, ceramics).
This standard may also be applicable to other types of valves upon the consent of the Supplier and the Purchaser.
Elastic seal pair refers to:
(1) Seal pair composed of soft seal pair, solid and semi-solid grease (for example, oil seal plug valve);
(2) Seal pair composed of non-metal and metal materials;
(3) Other types of seal pair in accordance with elastic seal leakage rate specified in Table 3.
