3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 5823 and the following apply.
3.1
bolt
parts or components used to lock the frame and leaf or lock the transmission mechanism
3.1.1
latch
bolt with locking function that may be retracted under the direct action of an external force without being driven by a driving part, and automatically extends when the external force is removed
3.1.2
dead bolt
bolt with locking function that may only be driven by the driving part, but may not shift automatically
3.1.3
dummy latch
bolt with locking function which is driven by the driving part and limits the movement of the lever of the espagnolette gear
3.2
number of test cycles
total times of repeated opening and closing
3.3
driving part
part that drives the locking part
Note: It mainly includes transmission box, lever and connecting rod.
3.4
locking part
part locks the frame and leaf
Note: It mainly includes combination parts such as latch, dead bolt, dummy latch, lock point.
4 Classification and designation
4.1 Classification and code
4.1.1 Name code is divided into the following according to the driving principle:
a) Gear driven espagnolette gear for door (window), designated as M(C)CQ, see Figure 1a);
b) Connecting rod driven espagnolette gear for door (window), designated as M(C)LQ, see Figure 1b).
