This standard replaces JG/T 128-2007 Building Hardware for Windows and Doors - Stay Arms and the following main technical changes have been made with respect to JG/T 128-2007:
——The term and definition of stay arm (see 3.1) is added, and the definitions of lockable stay arm (see 3.2), frictional stay arm (see 3.3) and retaining force (see 3.4) are modified;
——The chapter - “Classification and Labelling” is modified (see Chapter 4);
——The requirements (see 5.4.2.1) and test methods (see 6.4.2.1) for stay arm for inward side-hung window and outward top-hung window are modified;
——The mechanical performance requirements (see 5.4.2.2 and 5.4.3.3) and test methods (see 6.4.2 c and 6.4.3.3) for stay arm for inward bottom-hung window are added;
——The damage resistance requirement (see 5.4.3.1) and test method (see 6.4.3.1) for stay arm for inward side-hung window are modified;
——The specification and dimension requirements (see Table 1) for test simulated window of inward bottom-hung window are added.
This standard was proposed by the Research Institute of Standards and Norms (RISN) of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions given in GB/T 5823 and the following apply.
3.1
stay arm
device restricting the opening angle of operable leaf, which is also called as stopper and opening stopper
[GB/T 32223-2015, Definition 3.16]
3.2
lockable stay arm
stay arm to fix the opening angle of window leaf by mechanical blocking position
3.3
frictional stay arm
stay arm to restrict the opening angle of window leaf by frictional locking structure
3.4
retaining force
force preventing window leaf from disconnecting from locked position along opening or closing direction under external force action
4 Classification and Labelling
4.1 Classification and code
4.1.1 Product code
Product code: CD.
4.1.2 Classification by applicable window type
Product code is classified into three categories by opening form (see Figure 1) of applicable window type:
a) Code of stay arm for inward side-hung window: NP;
b) Code of stay arm for outward top-hung window: WX;
c) Code of stay arm for inward bottom-hung window: NX.
a) Stay Arm for Inward Side-hung Window b) Stay Arm for Outward Top-hung Window c) Stay Arm for Inward Bottom-hung Window
Keys:
