Vessel support - Part 1: Saddle support
1 Scope
1.1 This part specifies the type characteristics, series parameters and dimensions, materials, marking, manufacturing technical requirements and selection methods of saddle supports.
1.2 It is applicable to saddle supports of steel horizontal vessels supported by double fulcrums. For saddle supports of horizontal vessels supported by multiple fulcrums, their structural types and dimensions may also be used with reference to this standard.
1.3 Design conditions of saddle support in this part:
Design temperature of saddle supports:-40℃~200℃.

3 Type characteristics
Saddle supports are divided into two types: light (code A) and heavy (code B).
Heavy saddle supports are divided into five models according to their manufacturing methods, angle of contact and attached backing plates. See Table 1 for the structural characteristics of various models of saddle supports.
Saddle supports are divided into stationary (code F) and sliding (code S) ones according to their installation forms.
