1 Applicable Scope
This method is applicable to rate of specimen that have been subjected to neutral salt spray test, ASS, CASS test, corrodkote test and Sulfur dioxide gas corrosion test.
2 Rating Contents
This rating method main inspect and assess for specimen underwent corrosion test in two aspects.
2.1 Basic corrosion spot: It refers to base metal corrosion spot penetrating coating, its size excludes accompanying presenting rusty stain. Generally, corrosion spot is difficult to clean away while rusty stain is easy to erase.
2.2 Coating corrosion: it refers to flooding point colour change of coating excluding darkening. Generally, flooding point colour change is difficult to clean away and has obvious boundary with the whole surface, while darkening is easy to wipe bright and has no obvious boundary with the whole surface.
3 Examining Area
Examining area refers to the significant surface undergoing corrosion test and surface used for rating, which shall generally be stipulated in product standards. This area shall be larger than 1 A/dm or total area of several specimens shall be larger than 1 A/dm.
