1 Scope This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical specifications, type test, inspection, qualification evaluation principles, markings, packing, transport, storage and quality certificate of cylinder valves. This Standard is applicable to the valves intended to be fitted to portative and rechargeable gas cylinders which convey compressed, liquefied or dissolved gases with nominal operating pressure not be greater than 30 MPa with a environment temperature of -40 ℃ ~ +60 ℃. This Standard is not applicable to valves for cryogenic equipment, fire extinguishers, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder for vehicle, compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinder for vehicle, breathing gas cylinder, non-refillable cylinder. This Standard do not cover the specific requirements of cylinder valves with decompression devices, residual pressure holding devices and nonreturn devices. 2 Normative References The following normative documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this Standard.
