1 General provisions
1.0.1 This standard is formulated with a view to reasonably designing the auto tracking and targeting jet suppression systems, ensuring construction quality, standardizing acceptance, maintenance and management, reducing fire losses and protecting personal and property safety.
1.0.2 This standard is applicable to the design, construction, acceptance, and maintenance and management of auto tracking and targeting jet suppression systems in constructed, extended and renovated civil and industrial buildings.
This standard is not applicable to the design, construction, acceptance, and maintenance and management of auto tracking and targeting jet suppression systems in buildings of special functions such as gunpowder, explosive, ammunition, initiating explosive device factories and warehouses, nuclear power plants and hangars.
1.0.3 The design, construction, acceptance, and maintenance and management of auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system shall be closely integrated with the functions of the protected objects, fire characteristics and system characteristics, so as to be safe, reliable, technologically advanced and economically reasonable.
1.0.4 The components, materials and equipment of the automatic tracking and positioning jet fire extinguishing system shall be products that meet the current relevant standards of the nation.
1.0.5 In addition to this standard, the design, construction, acceptance, and maintenance and management of the auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system shall also comply with those stipulated in the current relevant standards of the nation.
2 Terms and symbols
2.1 Terms
2.1.1 auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system
fixed fire suppression system consisting of fire extinguishing device, fire detecting device, control device, water flow indicator, simulated inspector’s test connection and pipe network, water supply facilities and other major components, which uses water as jet medium, uses fire detecting device to automatically detect, track and target the initial fire, and applies automatic control mode to achieve jet suppression
auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system may be classified into automatic fire monitor system, eject type automatic jet system and spray type automatic jet system
2.1.2 automatic fire monitor system
auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system with a fire extinguishing device flow of greater than 16L/s
2.1.3 eject type automatic jet system
auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system of eject type, with a fire extinguishing device flow of ≥5L/s but ≤16L/s
2.1.4 spray type automatic jet system
auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system of spray type, with a fire extinguishing device flow of ≥5L/s but ≤16L/s
2.1.5 fire extinguishing device
equipment for extinguishing fire by jetting water medium, including automatic fire monitor, eject type automatic jet fire extinguishing device and spray type automatic jet fire extinguishing device
2.1.6 fire detecting device
equipment with the functions of automatically detecting and targeting the fire source and transmitting the fire source signal to the control device
2.1.7 control device
device consisting of control and information processing component of the system, which has the functions of receiving and processing fire detection signals in time, sending out control and alarm information, driving fire extinguishing device to put out a fire at fixed point, receiving feedback signals, completing corresponding display and recording at the same time, transmitting signals to control panel for fire alarm or control panel for fire linkage, etc.
2.1.8 automatic control
a kind of control mode that the system automatically completes the fire detection and alarm and starts the fire extinguishing device to put out a fire in the automatic state
2.1.9 manual control in fire control room
a kind of control mode that the attendant, through the operation panel of the system control host set in the fire control room, manually starts the fire pump, opens the control valve, and adjusts the fire extinguishing device to aim at the fire source to put out the fire
2.1.10 manual control on site
a kind of control mode that, once finding a fire, the on-site personnel, through the on-site control box, manually start the fire pump, open the control valve, and adjust the fire extinguishing device to aim at the fire source to put out the fire

3 Basic requirements
3.1 Setting location
3.1.1 The auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system may be used to put out fires at the following locations of fire class A in civil buildings, Category C production workshops and Category C warehouses:
1 High-space locations with a clearance height of greater than 12m;
2 High-space locations with a clearance height of >8m but ≤12m, where it is difficult to set up automatic sprinkler system.
3.1.2 The auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system shall not be used in the locations under the following conditions:
1 There are often open fire operations;
2 Water protection is unsuitable;
3 There is obvious obscuration;
4 The horizontal spread of fire is quick;
5 Shelf area of elevated warehouse;
6 The fire hazard level is serious hazard level as specified in the current national standard GB 50084 Code of design for sprinkler systems.
3.2 System selection
3.2.1 The type of auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system shall be selected according to the fire classification, fire hazard level, environmental conditions, space height, characteristics of protected areas and other factors of the setting location.
3.2.2 The fire hazard level of the setting location for auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system may be classified in accordance with those specified in GB 50084 Code of design for sprinkler systems.
3.2.3 The type selection of auto tracking and targeting jet suppression system shall meet the following requirements:
1 For locations of light hazard level, the eject type automatic jet system or spray type automatic jet system should be selected;
2 For locations of moderate hazard level, the eject type automatic jet system, spray type automatic jet system or automatic fire monitor system should be selected;
3 For Category C warehouses, the automatic fire monitor system should be selected;
4 The same system type should be adopted in the same protected area. Where necessary, a combination of two types of systems may be adopted.
