Plastics — Recycled plastics — Part 7: Polycarbonate (PC) materials
1 Scope
This document specifies the classification and designation, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of recycled PC plastics.
This document is applicable to recycled PC plastics granules made of waste polycarbonate plastics by screening, sorting, cleaning, melting extrusion and granulation, and other processes. The matrix of the recycled PC plastic is thermoplastic polyester containing carbonic acid and aromatic diphenol compounds specified in GB/T 35513.1, and the polyester may be homopolymer, copolymer or mixture of the two.
This document does not apply to recycled PC plastics from hazardous wastes such as medical wastes, pesticide packaging and radioactive wastes.
This document does not apply to mixed recycled plastics of polycarbonate and other resin materials.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 40006.1-2021, GB/T 2035 and GB/T 30102 apply.
4 Classification and designation
The designation and classification of recycled PC plastics shall be carried out according to GB/T 40006.1-2021.
The characteristic properties of recycled PC plastics are melt mass-flow rate (MFR) and notched izod impact strength.
The melt mass-flow rate is measured according to GB/T 3682.1-2018, with the test condition of 300°C and the load of 1.2 kg. The melt mass-flow rate is divided into three intervals, each of which is represented by a numeric code, as shown in Table 1. If the melt mass-flow rate is close to the critical value of the interval, the supplier shall specify the interval to which it belongs.
