1 Scope
This document specifies the designation expression, order information, dimension, shape, weight, technical requirements, test method, inspection rules, packaging, marking and quality certificate of non-alloy and alloy steel plates, sheets and strips for pressure equipment with specified temperature properties for pressure equipment.
This document is applicable to the manufacture of steel strips and coil cutting steel plates and sheets with a service temperature of not less than -20°C and a thickness of not more than 25.4 mm for pressure equipment as well as single rolled steel plates with a thickness of 3 mm ~ 250 mm (hereinafter referred to as "steel plates").

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 713.1 apply.
4 Designation expression
The designations of carbon steel and low-alloy high-strength steel are indicated by the yield strength value and the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the word "Qu" and the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the word "Rong" for pressure vessels, such as Q345R.
The designations of molybdenum steel and chrome-molybdenum steel are expressed by the average carbon content, letters of alloy elements and the first letter of Chinese pinyin for "vessel" of pressure vessels, such as 15CrMoR.
5 Order information
The order information of steel plates shall meet the requirements of GB/T 713.1.
6 Dimension, shape and weight
The dimension, shape and weight of steel plates shall meet those specified in GB/T 713.1.
7 Technical requirements
7.1 Designation and chemical composition
7.1.1 Designation and chemical composition (melting analysis) of steel shall conform to Table 1.
