Test methods of the interturn insulation on random wound winding for AC low-voltage machines
1 Scope
This standard specifies the test methods of the interturn insulation on random wound winding for AC low-voltage machines.
This standard is applicable to the detection of interturn insulation on random wound winding for three-phase or single-phase AC low-voltage machines with a rated voltage of 1,140V and below.
2 Normative references
The following standard contains provisions which, through reference in this standard, constitute provisions of this standard. At the time of publication, all editions cited are valid. All normative documents are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the normative documents indicated below.
JB/T 9615.2-2000 Test limits of the interturn insulation on random wound winding for AC low-voltage machines
3 Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the following definitions apply.
3.1 impulse waveform comparison method
method to test the interturn insulation of machine winding (or coil) through impulse voltage.
Apply the impulse voltage wave with the specified peak and front time alternately (or simultaneously) directly to the tested winding (or coil) and the reference winding (or coil) with the same design, and use the method whether there is a difference in the damped oscillation waveform caused by the impulse voltage to detect whether the interturn insulation of machine winding (or coil) is in good condition. See Annex A (normative) for details
