3 Terms and Definitions
For the purposes of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 19596 and the following apply.
3.1
traction battery
assembly used for holding storage battery, battery management module and relevant auxiliary components, and including the following functions: mechanical connection, electrical connection and protection; hereinafter referred to as "battery box"
3.2
traction battery pack
unit generally including battery module, battery management module (excluding BCU), battery box and corresponding accessories and capable of obtaining electric energy and outputting electric energy externally
3.3
swapping traction battery pack
battery pack which can be installed into electric vehicles in a short time (generally not exceeding 5min) by labor power or machinery assistance and the holding battery can be charged in the case of off-board
3.4
traction battery system
energy storage device composed of one or more battery packs and corresponding accessories (management system, high voltage circuit, low voltage circuit, heat management equipment and mechanical assembly, etc.)

5 Requirements
5.1 Environmental requirements
5.1.1 Environmental temperature of operation: -20℃~55℃.
5.1.2 Relative humidity: 5%~95%.
5.2 General requirements
5.2.1 Traction battery system shall have information acquisition, information transfer and safety monitoring functions.
5.2.2 The traction battery system shall be convenient for inspection and maintenance.
5.2.3 The arrangement of traction battery system shall avoid the adverse impact of arrangement environment, reliable isolation measures shall be taken, and the positions liable to impact, pollution, solarization and water immersion shall be avoided. If the positions cannot be avoided, effective protective measures shall be taken.
5.2.4 Traction battery system should have heat management system so that the battery system can be kept operating within normal operating temperature range.
5.2.5 Traction battery system shall have certain anti-electromagnetic interference capacity, and its operation shall not affect the operation of other electrical equipment.
5.3 Requirements for application
5.3.1 The safety of traction battery system shall meet the requirements of GB/T 18384.1.
5.3.2 Traction battery system shall meet the requirements of GB/T 31467.3-2015.
5.4 Electrical performance
5.4.1 Traction battery
5.4.1.1 Lithium-ion battery and Ni-MH battery adopted in traction battery system shall meet the requirements of GB/T 31486-2015.
5.4.1.2 Lead-acid battery adopted in traction battery system shall meet the requirements of QC/T 742.
5 4.1.3 Zinc-air battery adopted in traction battery system shall meet the requirements of QC/T 990.
5.4.2 Nominal voltage
The voltage class of traction battery system shall meet those specified in Table 2.

5.4.3 Energy of traction battery system (kW·h)
When traction battery system is tested according to 8.5.1, its energy shall not be less than the nominal value of the manufacturer.
5.4.4 Capacity of traction battery system (A·h)
When traction battery system is tested according to 8.5.2, its capacity shall not be less than the nominal value of the manufacture, and shall not be higher than 110% nominal value of the manufacturer.
