The seats of passenger vehicles
1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of the seats of passenger vehicles.
This document is applicable to the seats of M2 and M3 passenger vehicles.
This document is not applicable to plastic seats of M2 and M3 Class A and Class I passenger vehicles and special student seats for school buses.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 13053, GB 13094, GB 15083, GB/T 29120 and QC/T 47 as well as the following apply.

R point
reference point of seat arrangement and design, whose position on the seat is measured by three-dimensional H point machine

R' point
vertical projection point of R point on the upper surface of the seat cushion

3.3
G point
intersection point of the vertical line tangent to the backrest surface and the upper surface of the seat cushion on the center plane of the seat; that of the extension line of the backrest surface and the upper surface of the seat cushion for semi-backrest seats

3.4
height of seat cushion
distance between the highest point of the upper surface of unsunk seat cushion in the center plane of the seat and the horizontal section of the floor at the footrest
4 Requirements
4.1 General requirements
4.1.1 The dimensions and specifications of seats shall meet those specified in Table 1. See Figure 1 for the schematic diagram of seat dimensions and specifications. The dimensions and specifications shall be measured with three-dimensional H point machine meeting the requirements of GB/T 29120, and the seat shall be placed at the design reference position specified by the manufacturer during the measurement.
