Water-tube boilers - Part 2: Materials
1 Scope
This document specifies the selection principles and requirements of materials for pressure and non-pressure elements and stressed members of water-tube boilers, the application scope (temperature and pressure) and allowable stress of materials, and the general requirements for boiler steel structure and welding materials.
This document is applicable to the material selection and use requirements for pressure and non-pressure elements, stressed members, steel structures and welding materials of water-tube boilers defined in GB/T 16507.1.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 2900.48 and GB/T 16507.1 apply.
4 Basic requirements
4.1 The steel used for pressure elements and load-bearing members welded therewith shall be killed steel.
4.2 Elements not specified in the material standard shall not be added to the material without the consent of the boiler fabrication unit.
4.3 The boiler fabrication unit shall accept the boiler materials according to the items specified in JB/T 3375, and use them only after they are qualified.
4.4 Materials that meet one of the following conditions may not undergo physical and chemical re-inspection and corresponding nondestructive re-testing upon acceptance:
a) the acceptance personnel shall conduct acceptance in the material fabrication unit according to the procurement technical requirements, and sign the inspection report or relevant quality certification documents for confirmation;
b) for carbon steel and carbon manganese steel materials for boilers with the rated working pressure less than 3.8MPa, the physical identification shall be clear and complete, and there shall be quality certificates that meet the requirements of 4.6 and are consistent with the materials.

4 Basic requirements
